I’ve been dancing now for 14 years. Because my wife and youngest son are the dancers, I am a dancer by default. There are endless hours driving, watching practice, watching rehearsals, and watching performances. I’ve learned about high buns, low buns, foundation vs base, hair nets, and fake eyelashes.

I’ve enjoyed all of this more than I would’ve imagined.

Last night, I got to put my 14 years as a dancer to practice. Me and 3 other dance dudes performed a routine at Everything Goes Dance Studios recital, “Everything Goes Saves the Day”! Thank you Miss Kelsey! Turtle Power!

Kelsey, the EGD familia welcomed me with open arms 2yrs ago and has since motivated me to push myself in ways I never have before, physically and mentally. Thank you for all that you do. You are an amazing human, mentor & forever friend. EGD will forever have my heart!

Erika, if last year was life-changing I don’t even have the words to say what flamenco has done for me this year. My first solo, Firestorm/Calderon & another triplete at the recital - thank you amiga.

Adelita, thank you for trusting me to dive head first into the Folklorico deep end. The knowledge, passion and discipline you’ve instilled will stay with me forever, and I am so grateful I got to dance alongside you!

Megan, thank you for continuing to prove that aliens do exist, and making me wish I was one. You set the bar so high, tap will never be the same without you!

To the rest of the EGD familia, thank you for the bonds and memories I will cherish everywhere I go.

What a wonderful dance season we have had at Everything Goes Dance Studio! We are so thankful for our teachers and friends at EGD! Ms. Kelsey and her teachers have created a kind and supportive atmosphere for our girls to learn on and off the stage skills. They are learning skills that are equipping them for life, both present and for their futures!

Ms. Halee is a beautiful dancer with so many talents. I am thankful for her kindness, patience, and wonderful example she is for our girls. They all three look up to Ms. Halee with great fondness!

We are thankful for Ms Liz’s ability to lovingly challenge our girls’ dance skills and push them to be their best! She has given them the very best dance instruction, creating a foundation that very confident dancers (and girls) needs in life! We are thankful for all of our time together-dancing, laughing, and celebrating!

Hallee has had the very best time in her Jazz class with Ms. Kelsey-Hallee just lights up when she is in her jazz shoes! Her smile is from ear to ear!! Hallee lights up and smiles just the same when she speaks about Ms. Kelsey Renee Faulk Pèrez! Something unique to this season, Ms. Kelsey gave Hallee the opportunity to be her assistant in a Creative Movement class for 4 and 5 year ballerina students this year. Hallee couldn’t wait to help teach her class every week! She loves her students and enjoys being an assistant to Ms. Kelsey! Not only is Hallee learning to dance from Ms Kelsey but she is learning how to be a teacher

As a parent, you think carefully about who you would like spending time with your children. What skills are they going to be taught? How are they going to be cared for by their teachers? How is this going to prepare them for the next stages of their lives? So far our girls have danced for 12 years and ALL of them have been just wonderful! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again-Teachers-Dance Teachers-are just the best of our community! We will never be able to adequately thank them for everything their are investing in our girls. Everything Goes Dance Studio has it figured out.
